The reverse-osmosis drinking water system we use in the Texas Panhandle is the "West Texas Drinking Water System". It's a modified system that was engineered specifically for the local water conditions which tend to be very high in dissolved minerals and salts. A conventional system purchased at a big box store will not last long on our tough water.

Is the water really as good as bottled?
Yes – The system uses multiple processes including Reverse Osmosis to make great tasting, low sodium drinking water. Reverse Osmosis removes about 97% of the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) including salt and sodium from the water. Read the labels on bottled water and you will discover Reverse Osmosis is the same process used by most bottlers. In effect, you really are getting "bottled water without the bottle".
What is Reverse Osmosis?
Reverse osmosis (RO), also known as "hyperfiltration", is the process which removes a majority of the disolved impurities found in some tap water. Reverse osmosis systems provide filtered water everywhere, from homes and commercial applications like restaurants and hotels, to breweries and car washes, and even the space shuttle!
Can I hook the service up to my refrigerator ice maker?
Yes – in most case we can connect directly to your refrigerator. Connecting the system will extend the life of your ice maker and make great tasting ice. Turn your fridge into a Culligan water & ice machine.
Does the system require any maintenance or service?
Yes – we take care of all service and maintenance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every 18 months, our certified technicians will come to your home for a TSR (Total System Replacement) absolutely FREE! It's like getting a brand new Home Drinking Water System every time! Call us or fill out the form on the right and let the Culligan Man do all the work for you.
The Culligan Home Drinking Water
Filtration Stages
STAGE 1:
Raw tap water initially flows through a 1.0 micron filter that is 4 times larger than conventional filters. This removes dirt, rust and other solid objects.
STAGE 2:
The water then flows into an industrial grade carbon filter that takes out 98% of the chlorine and most organic chemicals.
STAGE 3:
A composite reverse osmosis membrane next removes up to 99% of the dissolved contaminants from the water molecules, which are all rinsed down the drain.
STAGE 4:
The fresh, clean water is stored in a reservoir tank located under the kitchen sink, where it will be disbursed through a designer sink faucet and/or to the refrigerator for ice or water.
STAGE 5:
Finally, the water is filtered with a "polishing filter" before it reaches your glass. This insures that your fresh, clean Culligan water tastes good.
